Г). Статус компанії
Для цілей відхилення компаній, які на момент проведення дослідження були недіючими, ми застосували відповідний критерій.
В результаті даного етапу дослідження з вибірки було виключено 45 компаній. Після застосування даного критерію в вибірці залишилося 1 552 компаній.

Д). Дата заснування
Незважаючи на те, що ст.39 ПКУ не містить обмежень щодо періоду реєстрації (створення) потенційно зіставних компаній, доцільно включати до переліку компанії, які були створені не пізніше 2011 року. Відбір даного критерію пов'язаний із порівняно незначним розвитком галузі на території України. Таким чином, включалися тільки ті компанії, які були засновані до 2011 року (включно).
В результаті даного етапу дослідження з вибірки була виключена 1 121 компанія. Загальна кількість компаній у вибірці після застосування даного критерію склала 431.

Е). Виручка
На даному етапі, для цілей найбільшою порівнянності в контексті аналізу, ми виключили компанії, у яких була відсутня виручка від реалізації товарів (робіт, послуг) більше ніж в одному році з аналізованого періоду (2013-2015рр.).
Для дотримання цього правила в базі даних були застосовані відповідні критерії.
В результаті застосування всіх вищеописаних критеріїв була сформована фінальна вибірка для цілей подальшого аналізу в розмірі 79 компаній, які займаються діяльністю з оптової торгівлі комп’ютерним, периферійним і програмним забезпеченням.

Для подальшого відбору, ми провели детальніший аналіз діяльності потенційно порівнянних компаній, які були включені у вибірку в результаті вживання критеріїв пошуку по базі даних RUSLANA. Для цього ми використовували корпоративні веб-сайти компаній і іншу інформацію про діяльність тієї чи іншої компанії, що міститься в інших загальнодоступних джерелах. Нижче описані додаткові етапи дослідження, які були проведені з використанням табличного редактору Microsoft Excel.

Ж). Перевірка порівнянності за розміром виручки
На даному етапі виключалися компанії, які мають несумісні показники виручки з виручкою, отриманої в рамках аналізованої операції.
Цей критерій був застосований для виключення компаній, у яких середньорічна виручка за період 2013-2015рр. склала менше 1 млн. грн. Даний критерій відбору використовувався для забезпечення порівнянності аналізованої і операцій, що зіставлялися, так як компанії з незначним обсягом виручки можуть здійснювати свою діяльність в непорівнянних комерційних і (або) фінансових умовах, що, відповідно, може відбитися на показниках рентабельності.
Таким чином, в результаті застосування даного критерію з вибірки були виключені підприємства з незрівнянно меншими обсягами виручки в порівнянні з контрольованих операціях.
В результаті даного етапу дослідження з вибірки не було виключено жодної із компаній. Загальна кількість компаній, що залишилися в вибірці після даного етапу, склала 79 компанії.
